Saraswat Bank, India’s largest cooperative bank, is adopting a variety of technologies as it transforms into a digital bank. Kunal Karkhanis, Head – Digital Banking at Saraswat Bank, is driving this transformation. He has identified Aadhar, debit cards & mobile as the three prominent modes of digital payment, while expecting UPI & Bharat QR to gain momentum. Simplicity, security & sustainability are three factors considered while adopting any technology at the bank. He sees digitalization as vital for co-op banks to survive.
