He adds that co-op banks need to adopt selling fee based products because their margins have reduced from regular banking business. Cross-selling products generate more revenue for co-op banks. He also believes that consolidation is difficult in co-op banks because post consolidation there will be changes in connection, technology & cost structure and that would hamper co-op banks local reach & bonding.
